Use Case Examples
Government Maps

Amelia Island Mosquito Control District (AIMCD) commissioned an updated aerial map from ProSky Studio in 2020. This map envelopes the entire AIMCD coverage area and is used daily to identify otherwise unknown low lying areas that are home to breeding mosquitos.

In addition to identifying the low areas across the District and because of the dataset's integration with ArcGIS, AIMCD personnel can identify abandoned properties with ponds and pools that would also harbor mosquito larvae.

Construction & Development Progress

This example dataset showcases a single project over time. By processing construction projects in the cloud, we can create a timeline of the aerial maps we generate, so you can track changes to your project throughout the project's duration.

Another great feature of this interface is the ability to be able to do a side-by-side, reveal style comparison between 2 maps. This allows project managers, engineers, owners, and field crews the ability to spot changes quickly and identify any areas of concern.

Forestry Monitoring

Forestry monitoring is one of the founding use cases for ProSky Aviation mapping services. For years, we have worked with members of the managed lands and forestry communities, both public and private, to create aerial orthomosaics that are practical, accurate, and easy to use.

This map was utilized by our client to measure different areas of a managed forest: cleared areas, bedded areas, grubbed areas, and swamps/ponds. By utilizing the dataset we provided, the client was able to measure these areas through our web-based toolset to ensure efficiency in production and accuracy in billing.
